JULIEN MARTINEZ, born in 1970 in the area of Bordeaux (France), is a contemporary doll artist who has a diploma of the «Ecole des Beaux Arts» (bachelor of Arts) of Bordeaux.

In 1996, he has presented for the first time its dolls at the “Paris Création“ International Fare. The public was quite enthousiast and his creations had a big success. Since, JULIEN MARTINEZ presents its work to an international public.

His very diversified inspiration, come from visual and litterary sources, from movies and fairy tales, as well as the history of costumes. From its research these characters emerge to the worrying strangeness. Which is positive or negative, the reaction of the public is very important in his mind. The dolls attract, subjugate or shock, from each of them emanates a single expression.
